Las Vegas G2E shows latest, greatest gaming technology

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Global Expo 2022 is in Las Vegas this week at the Venetian Expo Center. The convention shows off the latest and greatest in gambling and e-gaming technologies.

Light & Wonder, Inc. is a company which is headquartered in Las Vegas that is showcasing gaming across different platforms.

"We give players the games they want to play anywhere they want to play. So whether that's your local casino or if you play from your mobile device, on a social casino site, for fun or free, or if you live in a state that allows online real money wagering, you'll find us there as well," said Tony Lewin, vice president of sales for Light & Wonder, Inc.

New concepts that have debuted at the show often end up on casino floors within a year or two. G2E ends Thursday.

Photos show Las Vegas nightclub beating alleging involving NFL’s Alvin Kamara as victim files $10M lawsuit

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A civil lawsuit filed Friday against New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara includes photographs of the alleged beating of a man outside of a Las Vegas nightclub and asks a jury to award the victim $10 million. Kamara, Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Chris Lammons and two other men face criminal charges connected to the incident outside of a Strip nightclub on Feb. 5 during the NFL Pro Bowl weekend. A civil lawsuit filed Friday against New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara includes photographs of the alleged beating of a man outside of a Las Vegas nightclub. (District court/KLAS) Darnell Greene filed the lawsuit in a Louisiana court, the 8 News Now Investigators confirmed Friday. The filing includes a request for compensatory and punitive damages. Las Vegas man shoots, kills victim who was threatening mother: police

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A Las Vegas man accused of shooting and killing a man in August allegedly did it because the man had been threatening his mother, police said. Deangelo Gray, 32, is facing a murder charge in the death of Dwayne Thomas. On Aug. 28 just before 11 p.m., officers responded to reports of a man who was shot on the sidewalk at Sierra Vista Drive and Wilson Square. Thomas was found suffering from multiple apparent gunshot wounds and taken to the hospital, where he later died. Las Vegas police: Suspect arrested after deadly shooting in August Police learned that Thomas had been in a relationship with Gray’s mother. On the morning of the shooting around 8:30 a.m., the mother found fire damage to her apartment door. She believed Thomas had committed the arson because he had been threatening her and saying he was going to kill her, according to an arrest report.
