Las Vegas community comes together to celebrate Super Sunday Jewish Food Festival

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The Las Vegas community came together to enjoy Jewish foods, art, and culture at the largest Jewish food event in Nevada.

On Sunday, Nevada's Jewish Federation hosted the Super Sunday Jewish Food Festival at Tivoli Village. With admission being completely free, the event was a way for the local community to celebrate Super Sunday.

In addition, the event featured the PJ Library Kids Zone and attendees were able to donate blood through Vitalant's mobile blood drive.

Donations from the event went towards the Jewish Family Service Agency.

According to their website, Jewish Nevada is Nevada's Jewish Federation that serves as the representative organization for the 70,000 Jewish people in Nevada. They are the only organization charged with assessing and addressing the needs of the entire community.

Las Vegas police dog involved in car chase crash in good condition

LAS VEGAS (KLAS)-- The police dog involved in a head-on collision following a violent vehicle chase on Aug 11 has fully recovered, according to a tweet from Metro. Boris, a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois was inside a police vehicle when it was struck head-on by a man fleeing police. Boris was taken to a veterinary hospital following the accident, and police said he is recovering well. Las Vegas hosts Professional Pickleball Association final grand slam event

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Pickleball is one of the fastest-rising sports in the world and the top players are competing this week in Las Vegas. Ben Johns, the number two ranked player, no doubt feels the pressure as he is competing against other of the world's best pickleball ball players this week.
