SNHD finds Listeria case in Clark County

LAS VEGAS (KLAS)-- The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) has confirmed a case of Listeria was detected in Clark County.

A spokesperson for the district stated that an adult male, who has since been hospitalized and released, contracted the infection as a result of eating enoki mushrooms.

Federal investigators are currently working to identify the specific brands of enoki mushrooms that may be contaminated with Listeria. An outbreak linked to enoki mushrooms occurred in 2020, and since that time several brands of enoki mushrooms have been recalled.

Las Vegas police dog involved in car chase crash in good condition

LAS VEGAS (KLAS)-- The police dog involved in a head-on collision following a violent vehicle chase on Aug 11 has fully recovered, according to a tweet from Metro. Boris, a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois was inside a police vehicle when it was struck head-on by a man fleeing police. Boris was taken to a veterinary hospital following the accident, and police said he is recovering well.
