Road closures, lane restrictions in northwest Las Vegas valley to last until end of January

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- There will be lane restrictions and road closures at a northwest Las Vegas valley intersection due to construction related to the Las Vegas Valley Water District Centennial Reservoir.

From Tuesday, Dec. 27 through the end of January 2023, LVVWD will perform work at the northwest corner of North Fort Apache Road and West Centennial Parkway.

Northbound and southbound lanes on North Fort Apache Road north and South of West Centennial Parkway will experience periodic lane restrictions and road closures, Mondays from 7 a.m. until Thursdays at 3:30 p.m.

The roads will be fully open outside of these hours.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area and use North Durango Drive or North Hualapai for northbound and southbound travel.

Photos show Las Vegas nightclub beating alleging involving NFL’s Alvin Kamara as victim files $10M lawsuit

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A civil lawsuit filed Friday against New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara includes photographs of the alleged beating of a man outside of a Las Vegas nightclub and asks a jury to award the victim $10 million. Kamara, Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Chris Lammons and two other men face criminal charges connected to the incident outside of a Strip nightclub on Feb. 5 during the NFL Pro Bowl weekend. A civil lawsuit filed Friday against New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara includes photographs of the alleged beating of a man outside of a Las Vegas nightclub. Las Vegas man shoots, kills victim who was threatening mother: police

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A Las Vegas man accused of shooting and killing a man in August allegedly did it because the man had been threatening his mother, police said. Deangelo Gray, 32, is facing a murder charge in the death of Dwayne Thomas. On Aug. 28 just before 11 p.m., officers responded to reports of a man who was shot on the sidewalk at Sierra Vista Drive and Wilson Square. Thomas was found suffering from multiple apparent gunshot wounds and taken to the hospital, where he later died. Las Vegas police: Suspect arrested after deadly shooting in August Police learned that Thomas had been in a relationship with Gray’s mother. On the morning of the shooting around 8:30 a.m., the mother found fire damage to her apartment door. She believed Thomas had committed the arson because he had been threatening her and saying he was going to kill her, according to an arrest report.
